This is my drawing that won 6th place in the recent Q.C. District IV Secondary Schools Press Conference.
A Stroke of Luck
Today, it just happened that I bagged 6th place in Editorial Cartooning in the Quezon City District IV Secondary Schools Press Conference held at Flora A. Ylagan High School, Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City. Since I am just a beginner, it is quite lucky for a first year student to bag 6th place over about 40 entries. To make it more difficult, I had to face 4th year students and other higher year levels than me. They are quite good and I thought I was not going to make it. The topic in our category was about Global Warming. I will try to reproduce my entry then I'll post it here. I guess I am really lucky. The works of other contestants were spectacular especially the one from Alejandro Roces HiI though my cartoon drawing was not really that good but I did my best anyway and I pulled it off.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team
Pokemon mystery dungeon red rescue team is a virtual world where your player is a pokemon. Unlike the other pokemon games,you are a pokemon.You will take a test depending on your characteristics to know what pokemon you are.You will choose a partner,to accompany you on
your quests.There are also natural calamities to face and legendary pokemon to battle.
You will rescue pokemon from dungeons and earn rescue points and money.There are also ranks depending on how much rescue points you have.Here are the rescue ranks:
rescue points below 50-Normal rank
earn 50 rescue points-Bronze rank
earn 500 rescue points-Silver rank
earn 1500 rescue points-Gold rank
earn 3000 rescue points-Platinum rank
earn 7500 rescue points-Diamond rank
earn 15000 rescue points-Lucario rank
You will also recruit pokemon to your team to get more friends.There are also Characters in the game:
Alakazam-he is the leader of rescue team ACT
Charizard and Tyranitar-members of rescue team ACT
Gengar-leader of team Meanies,he is the villain along with Medicham and Ekans
The 2 Kecleons-they sell items and merchandise
Kangaskan-She stores your items for you
Gulpin-He is the owner of the Link shop which helps you remember and link moves
Persian-He is the felicity bank owner.He stores your money for you
Wigglytuff-HE sells friend areas
Pelipper-he delivers mail and does all kinds of stuff in the post office
Whishcash-He is the wise pokemon on whishcash pond where the illuminous cave lies which makes you evolve, but you will have to defeat Rayquaza to unlock it

1.Moltres-You will find him at Mt.Blaze peak.His friend area is legendary island.
2.Articuno-You can find him at frosty forest.his friend area is legendary island
3.Zapdos-you could find him at Mt. Thunder.his friend area is legendary island.
4.Mew-You could find him at buried relic 35-99 floors.his friend area is final island
5.Mewtwo-You can find him at Western Cave 99th floor.his friend area is cryptic cave.
6.Entei-You can find him at Fiery Field 30th floor.His friend area is Sacred field.
7.Raikou-You can find him at Lightning Field 30th floor.his friend area is sacred field.
8.Suicune-You can find him at Northwind Field 30th floor.His friend area is sacred field
9.Ho-oh-You can find him at Mt.Faraway 40th floor.His friend area is Rainbow Peak.
10.Lugia-You can find him at Silver Trench 99th floor.His friend area is deep-sea current.
11.Celebi-You can find him at Purity Forest,he will join your team automatically once you get to the final floor of purity forest.His friend area is Healing Forest.
12.Regirock-You can find him at Buried Relic 15th floor.He will give you the rock part after you defeat him in battle,if you collect all three parts,you will get a music box.The music box will help you to recruit mew.Regirock's friend area is Ancient Relic.
13.Regice-You will find him at Buried Relic 25th floor.He will give you the ice part.His friend area is ancient relic.
14.Registeel-You will find him at Buried Relic 35th floor.He will give the steel part.His friend area is ancient relic.
15.Latios And Latias-You will recruit them on a event when you get HM surf and buy the friend area Southern Island. Then,do a rescue or dungeon. After that,your character will wake up very
early and see something flying to the north. Then you will find Kecleon very mad because someone stole his TM's. You will then go to Northern Range and battle Latios. After you beat him, Latios will ask you to Rescue his sister Latias In the depths of Pitfall Valley.When you already rescued Latias,Latios will be happy and they will automatically join your rescue team.
16.Deoxys-You will find him at Meteor cave. You will battle mirage pokemons in the dungeon.
When you get to the 20th floor, Deoxys will be there and battle you.
17.Jirachi-You will recruit Jirachi in Wish Cave.You will unlock wish cave after you rescue Medicham in Wish cave 20th floor.After you rescued her,she will give you the wish stone as a reward. You need to have a wish stone to see Jirachi. He will be at the 99th floor of wish cave.
After you beat him, he will join your rescue team.But if you refuse to let him be a member of your team, you get to make a wish.

He stepped down from the beauty parlor called carretela salon owned by Ca Celin with a quick, delicate grace. He was lovely. He was tall. Hhe looked up to my brother with a smile, and his forehead was on a level with his nape.
"You are Baldo," he said and placed his hand lightly on my shoulder. His nails were long and dirty, and I thought they were painted in black but it was just dirt all over. He was fragrant like a morning when papayas are rotten. And a small dimple appeared momently high on his right cheek. "And this is Labang of whom I have heard so much." He held the wrist of one hand with the other and looked at Labang, and Labang never stopped chewing his bubble gum. He swallowed and brought up to his mouth more bubble gum and the sound of his insides was like a drum. Labng puffed and scored a bubble gum bubble bubbling like a bubble made of bubble gum in his gum with bubbles. Oh what the heck, it’s just a bubble gum!
I laid a hand on Labang's massive neck and said to him: "You may scratch his forehead now."
He hesitated and I saw that his eyes were on the long, curving horns. But he came and touched Labang's forehead with his long fingers, and Labang never stopped chewing his bubble gum except that his big eyes half closed, half crossed, half Filipino, half Filipina. And by and by he was scratching his forehead very daintily.
My brother Leonard put down the two trunks on the grassy side of the road. He paid Ca Celin twice the usual fee from the facial make-up to lip gloss in the beauty parlor. Then he was standing beside us, and he turned to him eagerly. I watched Ca Celin, where he stood in front of his horse, and he ran his fingers through its forelock and could not keep his eyes away from him.
"Luigi---" my brother Leonard said.
He did not say Luigo. He did not say Kulugo. I knew then that he had always called him Luigi and that to us all he would be Luigi; and in my mind I said 'Luigi' and it was a beautiful name. Lugi and Leonard, oh what a gay thing!
